Holding Hands Preschool

Our Setting

Holding Hands Pre-school began in 1999 as Mitchell Walk Playgroup, and provided care for a small number of two to four year-olds. The playgroup was held in one of the classrooms of Henry Allen Nursery School, on Mitchell Walk Road in Amersham, in the afternoons. Starting small, we built up a good reputation and flourished, gaining our first Ofsted outstanding award in 2009.

Towards the end of 2012, it was decided that the Henry Allen Nursery School building was to be demolished and rebuilt, giving Mitchell Walk Playgroup the opportunity to become fully independent.

We are extremely proud to be able to say that at the beginning of 2013  we were given our second outstanding award.

In April 2016 we became Holding Hands Pre-School and moved to the beautiful Mares Farm in Old Amersham. We are delighted to announce that we are now able to offer a breakfast club alongside mornings, lunch clubs, afternoons and full days. We also offer an after school club and opportunity to access extracurricular clubs in association with Mares Farm.

We offer 30 hours funding places.

We are extremely proud to be able to say that in May 2018  we were given our Third Outstanding Ofsted Award
